Privacy Policy

Effective July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Boxscore(“Boxscore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Boxscore service (the “Service”). Boxscore is a business tool used by sports-facility operators (such as batting-cage owners) to organize their own business reports and to send outreach to their own customers. This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

1. Scope and our two roles

Account information (we are the controller). For the business owners and managers who create accounts and log in, we determine how their basic account details are handled, and this Policy governs that.

Customer information (we are a service provider / processor). The information a business uploads about its own customers — its players, parents, and members (“End Customers”) — belongs to and is controlled by that business. Boxscore processes it only on that business’s behalf, under its direction, and only to provide the Service. If you are an End Customer with questions about your information, please contact the business you deal with; they control that data, and we will support them in responding to you.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

2.2 Information collected automatically

2.3 Information from third parties

Our payment processor provides limited billing information (for example, the last four digits of a card and payment status) so we can manage your subscription. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

3. How and why we use information

We do not sell or rent personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use End Customers’ information for our own marketing.

4. Emails sent through the Service

When a business enables outreach, Boxscore sends emails to that business’s End Customers on the business’s behalf and at its direction. The business is the sender and is responsible for having the right to contact those recipients. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests. We use email-delivery data (such as sends, opens, and unsubscribes) to operate the outreach features and to report results back to the business.

5. Children’s information

Boxscore is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. A business may, however, upload records that include information about minors (for example, youth players and their contact details). The business is responsible for having any parental or other consent required by law (including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, where applicable) to provide that information to us and to contact those families. If you believe a business has provided a minor’s information that should be corrected or removed, contact that business, or contact us at justin@dbatsaw.com and we will assist the business in addressing it.

6. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as described here:

6.1 Service providers (sub-processors)

We use vetted providers to run Boxscore, under agreements that limit their use of the data to providing services to us. Our current providers are:

6.2 Legal and safety

We may disclose information if we believe it is required by law or legal process, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Boxscore, our customers, or others.

6.3 Business transfers

If Boxscore is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

7. Data retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When an account is closed, we delete or de-identify Customer Data within a reasonable period (for example, within 30 days), except where we must keep limited records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Backups are cycled out on a rolling basis. A business may request deletion of its data, or of a specific End Customer’s data, by contacting us.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), passwords stored with one-way hashing, row-level access controls that scope each business to only its own data, restricted administrative access, and regular database backups. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and keep our practices current. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Where information is processed

Boxscore and its providers store and process information in the United States.

10. Your rights and choices

10.1 Everyone

10.2 U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to receive a copy of it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we process End Customer information on behalf of businesses, we will forward and support such requests with the relevant business, or act on their instructions. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, or to appeal a decision, contact us at justin@dbatsaw.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11. Do Not Track

The Service does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, and it does not track you across third-party websites for advertising.

12. Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party sites or tools we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app) and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.
